Tui Na (pronounced ”twee nah”)

Tui Na means ”push and grasp”.  It is part of  Traditional Chinese Massage together with acupuncture, herbal medicine and Qi Gong.

Tui Na uses a wide variety of techniques, many of these being quite vigourous, robust and unique, focusing pressure on the acupoints and meridians.

In China it is used in hopsitals as a medical massage to treat most common ailments.

Tui Na provides complete stimulation of the body’s entire musculo-skeletal system, as well as all the internal organs.

Benefits of Tui Na:

  • Stimulates the flow of energy (chi), blood & bodily fluids, releasing blockages, which left untreated cause a build up of toxins, pain and possibly swelling.
  • Works holistically to realign the body, not only on the muscles and joints but at a deeper level.
  • Releases deep levels of tension and trauma from connective tissues, very effective for treating stress.
  • Breaks down knotted or scar tissue, speeding recovery time from injuries and helping to maintain flexibility.
  • Boosts the immue system.
  • Leaves the patient in a state of deep physical & mental relaxation, revitalised and with a sense of wellbeing.
