What is Holistic Massage?
Holistic means ‘whole’. This form of massage treats the whole person not just the symptom, using nurturing touch and aims to rebalance the body. Each treatment is tailored for the person’s individual needs.
How can Holistic massage help me?
Holistic massage relaxes tight muscles, improves circulation of blood and lymph, reduces stress and enhances a state of well being.
The benefits can be felt by all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles:
Stress – affects different people in a myriad of ways, physically and emotionally
Stiffness and soreness – in muscles can be due to a wide range of physical factors
Emotional tension – and the day to day stresses that life throws at us can manifest in headaches caused by a stiff neck and shoulder, the body generally tensing up in response to stress.
What to expect from your first treatment.
On your first visit for a Holistic Massage treatment, you will be asked to fill out a medical history to make sure the treatment is suitable for your individual needs. The therapist will then discuss with you the areas that need treating.
Holistic massage treatments can last for an hour,3/4 hour or 1/2 hour.
